November 2002 Update
Well things this year have been very exciting. On May 24 2002 we took posession of our first home. It's the house that we've been living in and it was offered to us at such a great price. Thanks to a few family members that helped make it happen. You know who you are. So in September we remodelled the top level of the  house. There really wasn't anythign wrong with it, but the carpet needed to be changed and of course it needed some colour. So I started that project.
It is now mostly complete, with a few little touches left. I have the house decorated for Christmas and we're loving it. Chad got laid off from Alberni, and has recently started a job at a cabinet shop just 10 minutes from the house. Sure beats having to drive for 1 hour morning and night to work.

April 2002 Update
Well I am back from the Brier and fun was had by all... Let me tell you it's so different when your sitting right there than it is watching it on TV..... The building is HUGE and the sound inside is very quiet. The rocks on the ice are quiet. It wasn't what I imagined it would be. I met many people from all over while in Calgary
Here are some pictures...
This is me with the team from Manitoba  and this is me with some of the ladies I met.

March 2002 Update
Well I have had my hair cut again.... I love it... I'm off to the Brier tomorrow morning so I'm really excited. The yacht that Chad has been working on is going into the water this Saturday March 9th so he's nervous and excited as well. The website for the owner has been updated, so take a look for yourself. Well I'll be back to report more after the Brier.. Take care all
January 2002 Update

Well we've started the New Year out ok. We survived the Christmas season with out the kids. It was hard for them to be gone for 2 whole weeks... but we didn't do much. Both Chad and I ended up with the bad cold that was going around, so on Christmas morning and Boxing Day were mostly spent on the couch or in bed... If one wasn't coughing then another was...  Karen and her new husband Pete flew out from Calgary and spent the holidays with the family in Victoria and came up to Nanoose Bay for a couple of days.

I was hired at the new Real Canadian Superstore that is opening in Nanaimo on February 7th, so I start training on the 28th of January. I will be working in the office, so cross your fingers for me. They are union and have benefits so that will be good. That will still give me time to find out if
#1 I still have a job after Mr. Campbell is done with his cuts to jobs
#2 I can find out if it's what I want

Chad is working 6 days a week, 10 hours a day. They need to get the yacht into the water by Feb 28 or it sounds like heads are going to roll... So for us there isn't much of any time to do much.
The kids have been skiing with mom and Dan quite a bit, today Jan 20th they were up there and Brandon took a friend, they had a good time, but I guess that taking 3 is too much...
Mom just had her 50th birthday on the 13th so we had a small party with the family here. She says that she doesn't feel older but I have to say that she's faring well....

We have a new addition to our family. His name is "Gizmo" and he's a schitzu/ pomeranian. He's cute but man he keeps us busy, he's moving all kinds of things around the house. Here's a picture of him.. on the left and "Mr. Blue" is on the right... They get along well and I think that Blue enjoys having  a dog smaller than him for once.

I'm going to the Brier in Calgary March 7 - 18th..... Yes I applied to be a volunteer at the Brier in Calgary and they accepted me. So I'll be working in the Brier patch... It's volunteer but it's going to be a great chance in my life to meet some great curlers. For those that don't know what the Brier is it's the men's canadian curling championship. I'm going to stay with Karen the time that I'm there, get to visit her and Pete and the kids. I'm looking forward to it.

June 2001 Update

Well we have been busy getting mom and Dan's house all ready for our big event in August.
Things have been flying by, and the kids are getting bigger and of course mouthier
Here are the kids, sorry it's crappy,  Chad has a  weekend project. It's his bosses bus and he's redoing the inside of it. It's looking great and I'll post the inside pictures soon.
